Here’s your weekly quick look at few developing stories in the political arena:

- A third-party presidential debate was held on Tuesday in Chicago with four other candidates running for president. The participants were Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Constitution Party candidate Virgil Goode, and Justice Party candidate Rocky Anderson. It was moderated by Larry King. WATCH HERE:
- Indiana Senate candidate, Richard Mourdock, is the latest politician to get himself in trouble over comments involving rape and abortion. Mourdock said during a debate this week, “even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that is something that God intended to happen.” This past Sunday, Mourdock received an endorsement from Mitt Romney. Gov. Romney has not personally commented on Mourdock’s recent comments. President Obama said on Jay Leno this week that rape is a crime and that, “this is exactly why you don’t want a bunch of politicians, mostly male, making decisions about women’s health care decisions.” (ABC)
- And finally, Colin Powell, Secretary of State under George W. Bush from 2001-2005, has endorsed President Obama for a second term. Powell, a Republican, cited Obama’s foreign policy as well as the improving U.S. economy as his reason for the endorsement. “I think we ought to keep on the track that we are on,” Powell said.
