There are a lot of myths associated with the rights of people with felonies on their records. Even though many privileges are taken away when you commit a felony, voting may not necessarily be one of them.

Did you know that, in most states, you can still vote even with a felony?

No? I’m not surprised. The majority of people with felonies believe that their right to vote is taken away with a felony conviction. In fact, in Maine and Vermont, you can vote from prison through an absentee ballot.
