In 2010, LYVEF Florida will focus on issues education around green jobs and building public support around issues of voting rights. We will conduct an issue campaign to advocate for investment in green jobs, restoration of voting rights for the formerly incarcerated and to allow voter registration during the first week of early voting in Florida. Our major goals in Florida are building the group’s leadership and capacity for 2010’s mid term elections through experiential learning opportunities and to increase public engagement on environmental and voting rights issues to empower lower socioeconomic constituents.
